It is our mission to actively encourage healthy relationships by increasing self-esteem and independence in young women to prevent and respond to intimate partner violence.
Founded in 2013 by Tracy Evanson, Healed Women Heal is a nonprofit organization designed to empower young women through a variety of programs and resources addressing the root causes of intimate partner violence.
Healed Women Heal believes that, with the appropriate knowledge and support, young women can avoid intimate partner violence of any kind.
Healed Women Heal started as a way to connect survivors with one another. Our original support network was founded on 1 key principle: hope. As Healed Women Heal grew, hope remained at the core of everything we did. We started an outreach program to deliver "baskets of hope" filled with necessities to survivors of abuse who were temporarily residing in emergency shelters. As we evolved, we also began to focus on empowerment. We began hosting 2 annual events where our support network came together and survivors were able to share their testimonials. Now, Healed Women Heal is adding prevention and education to our focus. We believe that the only way to ensure that no woman experiences intimate partner violence is to educate and empower them.
Healed Women Heal recognizes that young women have unique experiences with dating and relationships. Because of this, we take a value-based, holistic approach to addressing intimate partner violence.
